I spy your house!
Over the coming months, as the weather changes, I’ll be drawing random houses (or your local pub!) that catch my eye. If your home has a particularly cute chimney, a smug-looking bay window, or a front garden that screams “draw me like one of your French cottages,” then beware.
I might just spot it. I might just sketch it. And before you know it… I spy your house! 👀
Keep an eye here — the neighbourhood is about to get illustrated.

The House Next Door
I did a commissioned drawing of a lovely cottage in Hawarden Village — you know, the kind with the perfect windows, the charming roofline, and the sort of front door that practically begs you to move in and start making tea.
But while I was working on it, I couldn’t help noticing the cottage next door…. This one on your left! And then the one next to that. And then the one across the road. Basically, the entire street started flirting with me.
So naturally, I did what any self-respecting artist with zero self-control around pretty houses would do:
I drew the neighbour’s cottage too.
Not because anyone asked.
Not because anyone needed it.
But simply because I love that row of houses — and once I start, it’s a slippery slope. One minute you’re drawing a commissioned piece, the next you’re accidentally creating a full architectural family portrait.

The White Horse Inn
I spy your pub!
I sketched a little pub a couple of weeks ago The White Horse Inn Cilcain and somehow it radiates pure summer energy—the kind where the sun’s out, the pints are cold, and we’re all pretending we don’t have responsibilities. Summer, hurry up—we’re ready.

Is this your local?
